All of the studies whose tissue samples are represented in
this archive are catalogued in the book Life-Span Effects
of Ionizing Radiation in the Beagle Dog by Roy C.
Thompson, also known simply as the Red Book.
The summaries of the Utah experiments (pp. 126-155) and of
the ITRI experiments (pp. 184-222) are most relevant to this
archive. However, the book also contains a wealth of
information on the history and implications of these
studies, as well as information on additional radiation
studies not represented in this archive.
In addition to the digital data that
are preserved in this archive, there are also boxes of (as
of yet) largely undigitized necropsy reports.
The reports that are digitized can be viewed
