Dosimetry Notes

Total dose refers to lifetime radiation exposure in cGy for animals treated with a specific amount of radiation.

However, total dose is reported as zero for animals that were irradiated every day (indicated by fractions = 999).

To control for stress responses related to being moved, control animals were put in the radiation chamber but were not irradiated (they were sham-irradiated). In these cases, the number of fractions refers to the number of times the animals were sham-irradiated.

Demography Notes

Use the demographic search tools to confine the search to animals of a particular gender, animals that started being irradiated at a particular age, or animals that died in a specific age range.

Pathology Type Notes

Use the "Include mice with toxicities described as" select box to choose toxicities of interest. This box uses "OR" logic; an animal must have any of the selected pathology types to be included in search results.

Use the "Exclude mice with toxicities described as" select box to choose toxicities to exclude. This box uses "AND" logic; an animal must NOT have any of the selected pathology types to be included in search results.

The control key can be used to make multiple selections; just hold it down while clicking to select or unselect multiple options.

Pathology Location Notes

Use the "Include mice with pathologies in the following locations:" select box to choose toxicities locations of interest. This box uses "OR" logic; an animal must have had at least one pathology in one of the selected locations to be included in search results.

Use the "Exclude mice with pathologies in the following locations" select box to choose toxicities locations to exclude. This box uses "AND" logic; an animal must NOT have any gross pathology in any of the selected locations to be included in search results.

The control key can be used to make multiple selections; just hold it down while clicking to select or unselect multiple options.

Janus Experiments Notes

Use the Janus Experiments box to confine results to animals from a specific study. To learn more about the studies, consult the study summaries from the Janus Experiment Booklet.

To make multiple selections, hold down the control key while clicking on the study numbers. The default is to include all studies.
