The Janus Experiments, carried out at Argonne National Laboratory from 1972 to 1989 and supported by grants from the US Department of Energy,
investigated the effects of neutron and gamma radiation on mouse tissues primarily from B6CF1 mice. To learn more about the studies, please refer to the complete documentation.
This web application, created by Dave Paunesku for the Woloschak Lab at Northwestern University and financed by NASA and the US Department of Energy, enables interested parties to search autopsy records from the mice used in these studies and request histological samples from animals of interest. It should NOT be used for any sort of statistical analyses because the data accessible through this application were not collected appropriately for such analyses. If you are interested in performing statistical analyses, you may request the database containing all data collected in the course of the Janus Experiments. These data are stored in Microsoft Access format, and they contain information on nearly every facet of the studies.
To report problems with this web application or make suggestions, please contact Dave Paunesku.
